Choosing the right supplier for any high-value service is rarely an easy process – which is why most industries use specialised professionals to apply commercial bidding procedures and ensure all quotes are supported by a comprehensive service contract.
Given the SME-levels of expenditure by the owner why should a super-yacht be any different, particularly when a refit comes around?
It is also clear that recent movement towards greater regulation of large pleasure marine craft by bodies such as the MCA is part of a greater trend of increasing levels of “commercial practice” – ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies has added further complication to the refit process and needs planning and expertise.
To provide solutions for these issues we have taken a commercial approach to the selection and engagement of a suitable yard/subcontractor for a specific task or tasks.
We apply recognised commercial processes to pleasure craft refits and rebuilds which benefit from significant experience gained in the demanding business area of the service, maintenance and refit of commercial aircraft customised for private use.
